Biography
Mike Bailey-Gates grew up with a family of folk-art dealers and has been inspired by folk lore and story telling from a very young age. Born in 1993 in Rhode Island he became interested in photography at the age of thirteen when he began taking photographs of the people and landscapes in his surrounding countryside. Over time, his photography developed in to a haptic process, combing childhood with the idea of a utopic place. Michael is currently living in New York City collaborating with friends and artists and has recently worked with Martini Gold, Puella, FIASCO, Veine and has had shows in France, Brussels, and here in the states...
